The Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science is seeking an outstanding individual for a part-time (50%) Instructor position in the Chemical Engineering program for a term of two years.

The Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science (PEAS) was formed on July 1, 2005. Located on the Sexton Campus of Dalhousie University in downtown Halifax, the Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science prepares students for professional careers in a wide range of fields related to the process industries, including oil and gas, food and minerals. With a focus on being environmentally-conscious, students will contribute to sustainable engineering development – a priority for the process and allied industries.

The recruited individual will be responsible for undergraduate teaching in second-, third- and/or fourth-year courses as assigned by the Department Head. Teaching includes the preparation of new course materials, delivery of lectures, and instruction of tutorial and/or laboratory sections. This position will be expected to contribute to general activities in the Department related to delivery of the undergraduate program. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering (or a closely related field) and hold either a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering (or a closely related field) and have a passion for teaching undergraduate university-level courses in these disciplines. Candidates must be registered with Engineers Nova
Scotia as a Professional Engineer.
